Back in Action!

In February, Bloomsburg CCL logged 19 actions, including several chapter meetings, some training, some writing, a couple of presentations, and a whole bunch of legislator contacts. As always, we are lobbying Congress to place a price on carbon via the Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act, a border adjustment via the PROVE IT Act, and otherwise calling for healthier forests, widespread electrification, and an easier permitting process for renewable infrastructure. March Endorsements

February and March were busy months for our chapter, featuring meetings with the Columbia-Montour Chamber of Commerce, the Montour Area Recreation Commission, several student groups on campus, and staffers from Rep. Meuser’s office. After a productive meeting with the Bloomsburg Ministerium, we received an endorsement signed by representatives from six local congregations, demonstrating that local religious bodies are on board for carbon pricing.
